With a relentless pursuit of quality and innovation, the company continues to redefine industry standards, positioning itself as a trusted name in the global marketplace.
A Journey of Transformation in the Glass Industry
After graduating from university with a degree in computer science
in 2003, Mahdi Alhindawi embarked on his journey
into the glass industry
while setting up a network
for a glass company in
Jordan. The company offered him a sales manager position, marking the
beginning of his career in the glass world.
Within six months, Mahdi realized that the glass industry could not be studied formally and that its experts came from
diverse backgrounds. This realization led him to shift his focus from IT to the
glass industry.
In 2006, Mahdi
established his personal
company, ENJAZGLASS, which
has since become
a family business and continues to operate successfully.
In 2008, Mahdi moved to Dubai and joined one of the largest glass processing companies in the Middle East as an Area Sales Manager, later becoming the Export Sales Manager for the MENA region. During this time, he was involved in supplying glass for iconic projects, including the Burj Khalifa and many other unique ventures in the region.
In 2016, Mahdi accepted a challenge in Saudi Arabia with a major industrial group, where he turned a company with four years of accumulated losses into a profitable enterprise within the first year. This success was achieved through the implementation of a strategic marketing business plan across all segments, making it the most interesting year of his career.
In 2018, Mahdi returned to ENJAZGLASS as a General Manager, expanding the company by opening branches in Egypt, the UAE, and Ireland, specializing in decorative glass.
In 2020, Mahdi established ENJAZPONIC, a hydroponics company based on his hobby background. By 2024, ENJAZPONIC became a golden sponsor for the GVF global vertical farm exhibition.
In mid-2022, Mahdi joined GLASSTECH as an Operations and Sales Manager, transforming the organization from an entity with over five years of accumulated losses into a profitable venture by 2023, earning a reputation as the best service provider in the market. In 2024, he was promoted to General Manager.
Innovating Through Supply Chain Challenges and Agricultural Passion
When COVID-19 began, and the worldwide supply chain faced significant problems, Mahdi Alhindawi found inspiration to start in a new direction. With a strong industrial background and a passion for agriculture, he was motivated to pursue this venture with love and continuously adapt to market needs.
Innovative Sales Strategies and Market Understanding Drive Growth
Whenever there is a solid understanding of the market, and clients are given a unique experience tailored to their needs, growth is inevitable. Unique experiences in selling value more than products transform customers into salespeople. Therefore, there are no salespeople in GLASSTECH, as they sell their full capacity yearly. This allows them to choose the best clients in the market because the demand far exceeds their capacity. The more professionals among their clients who value their services, the faster the response and timely delivery.
In reality, time is money, and Glasstech provides significant savings in this aspect during project execution. Mahdi Alhindawi promotes ENJAZZPONIC from his home, office, and the GLASSTECH entrance, requiring no movement from the places he spends the most time in. He delivers this through digital marketing to his clients.
In fact, it is a real enjoyment for him to apply different sales strategy techniques for different types of business with daily execution, which massively increases sales knowledge.
Leveraging International Networks for Mutual Growth
By understanding the needs of the market and having the right international network, they are able to sign exclusive agreements that help both parties grow their business in a win-win situation. This is achieved by merging the strengths of both parties to provide real benefits for both.
Innovative Solutions and Expert Connections in Hydroponics
Mahdi practices hydroponics almost every day, and the problems he encounters lead to development. Whenever a problem arises, he searches for the right solution. Additionally, he attends all the main exhibitions in different regions to see the latest technology and connect with experts from various regions and segments. These segments include manufacturing growing LED or manufacturing solutions, each being a completely different industry but both important elements in hydroponics growing.
Navigating Uncontrollable Business Challenges with a Dynamic Mindset
Mahdi thinks that uncontrollable circumstances are always the biggest challenges one can face in a business plan, similar to the international economic crisis in 2008-2009, wars impacting logistics, or COVID-19. Similar circumstances require fast decisions and immediate changes in direction, necessitating a dynamic approach, which naturally can be scary. It’s a matter of mindset technique more than a practical skill.
Expanding Presence and Reputation through Performance and Quality
Al Jubail Island is one of the biggest projects in Abu Dhabi, involving the three largest aluminum companies in the market and the three biggest competitors supplying that project. Glasstech got the chance to have a small package at the beginning of the project, and their package kept expanding based on their performance and quality supply, making them the preferred supplier for it. This project served as a real marketing example in promoting GLASSTECH and establishing its reputation as the best in services.
Driving Team Motivation and Efficiency
Achieving new goals with the team is always the most motivating factor for Mahdi. His main task is to increase the knowledge in each department individually and coach them to function as a strong team. This approach enhances the organization’s efficiency through various techniques, leading to further growth.
Mahdi exclaims - I prefer to spend quality time more than quantity time in both personal life and work.
Building a Trusted Brand in Hydroponics
The main goal of ENJAZPONIC is to establish a high-value brand in the hydroponics segment, focusing on creating trust and widespread recognition across all aspects of branding.
